【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthedegreeofbiodegradabilityoflubricantsortheircomponentsinanaerobicaqueousmediumonexposuretoaninoculumundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Thistestmethodisanultimatebiodegradationtestthatmeasuresoxygendemandinaclosedrespirometer.Thistestmethodissuitableforevaluatingthebiodegradationofvolatileaswellasnonvolatilelubricantsorlubricantcomponents.Thistestmethodisapplicabletolubricantsandlubricantcomponentswhicharenottoxicandnotinhibitorytothetestmicroorganismsatthetestconcentration.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsaregiveninSection.
