【摘要】:ThisclauseofEN61496-1isreplacedbythefollowing:ThisTechnicalSpecificationistobereadinconjunctionwithEN61496-1:1997.Itspecifiesrequirementsforthedesign,constructionandtestingofelectro-sensitiveprotectiveequipment(ESPE)forthesafeguardingofmachinery,employingpassiveinfra-redprotectivedevices(PIPDs)forthesensingfunction.Specialattentionisdirectedtofeaturesthatensureanappropriatesafety-relatedperformanceisachieved.AnESPEmayincludeoptionalsafetyrelatedfunctions,therequirementsforwhicharegiveninAnnexAofEN61496-1.ThisTechnicalSpecificationdoesnotspecifythedifferentmeansofthermalradiationdetectionnorthedimensionsorconfigurationsofthedetectionzoneanditsdispositioninrelationtohazardouspartsforanyparticularapplication,norwhatconstitutesahazardousstateofanymachine.ItisrestrictedtothefunctioningoftheESPEandhowitinterfaceswiththemachine.PIPDsaredevicesthathaveadetectionzonespecifiedinthreedimensionswhereinpersonsorpartsofpersonsaredetectedasaresultoftheirthermalradiation.ExcludedfromthispartarePIPDsoperatingatwavelengthsoutsidetherange6μmto14μm.ThisTechnicalSpecificationmayberelevanttoapplicationsotherthanthosefortheprotectionofpersons,forexampletheprotectionofmachineryorproductsfrommechanicaldamage.Inthoseapplicationsadditionalrequirementsmaybenecessary,forexamplewhenmaterialsthatarenotintendedtoberecognizedbythesensingfunctionhavesimilarpropertiestothoseofpersons.ThisTechnicalSpecificationdoesnotdealwithelectromagneticcompatibility(EMC)emissionrequirements.
